Non-voice call center jobs

Career Center

Most of us are aware that call center jobs are one of the most in-demand jobs nowadays some do love it and some who don’t. I have friends who experienced working as a call center agent and some of them say that it is really stressful. Most call center’s have good salary offers and even great incentives. Most call centers prefer those applicants who are good at speaking the English language and can really converse via phone. If you think you are good at speaking and has a voice like a native tongue American, this job might be the one for you.

If you’re on the other side and can’t speak English fluently, call centers nowadays also offer non-voice accounts which means that you’ll only entertain clients via chat or email. If you are a techy person who loves gadgets and technology stuffs, loves computers, and could even troubleshoot and can type fast, you might try considering being a non-voice agent.

Being a chat or email support isn’t as stressful compared to voice accounts. Stress from voice accounts is usually from those angry customers who don’t care and will say everything that they want. As an agent, you don’t have any choice but to stay calm despite the insult and the bad words that you’ll be hearing from them. If you have a high temper and decide to answer your customers back, the customer could complain and you could be easily fired.

Call center companies usually don’t care if you’re a college graduate or not. What is important to them is that you could do the job right. In a call center company, they usually have different accounts that they could put you in. It will depend on their assessment of you. If you are not qualified on the account that you like, they could even suggest which account that is available or is suited for you. Call center companies before usually work at night or what they called the “graveyard shift” but nowadays, call center companies already have dayshift accounts that could cater to those who don’t like working at night.

If you are interested to be a non-voice call center agent, immediately send your resume to companies that are currently looking for non-voice agents because usually, non-voice accounts have limited slots. If I were you, send resumes to companies as many as you can and attend all interviews so that you do have choices.
